I am interested in running for the secretary position because I feel that I can do a great job at this position. I have experience in being a secretary as well as good listening skills. I am very interested in voicing my opinions as well as getting involved in the community that I am to be living in. I also held this position last year and I want to be in charge of it again. This is really important to me that I maintain this position again. I have made the greatest friends and look forward to making more friends next year.

I have been a receptionist for the last three years of my life. I am very good at listening as well as being able to speak up for what you believe in. I am have excellent computer skills. I am always on time to every meeting that I have to go to. I can relate well with others and overall I am an outstanding person looking to get involved on my campus and I feel this is the best place to do it. I have wanted to be on the University Village council since I moved in and I heard about this as well so I am trying to do both. I am a fast learner and will do anything that is asked of me if not more. I have also been in this position before. I held the position last year and I grew to love it and I want to do it again.

I believe that living on campus is very important not only are you close to all the opportunities the university has to offer but it's a great way to meet people and interact. I also strongly believe that students who live on campus have a better grade average than those who live off campus. I am personally love living on campus and will remain on campus because of the type of learning that I am achieving being a resident. I have met a lot of great people and living on campus has made me want to get involved which has brought me to this point that I am at right now, writing this application.

For starters, I would like to see more activities. I am a big person on meeting new people and the only way to do that is to have events that everyone would be interested in attending. Second, I have numerous little things that can make the living here more comfortable. For example, there have been numerous people who have told me that the gate slamming all the time is very hard to live with. I personally am one of those people. Lastly, I would also like the pool to be heated so that we can enjoy the pool year round and not just when it is hot. I would like them to make more events. For example, formals, mixers, bbq’s, etc. are some of the ideas that I had in mind. A way for students to get involved with the other students who are living on campus. I would also like the board to be better known because honestly before last night I didn’t know what this board was until I was told and now that I know I am so interested in becoming a part of this board and feel that I can do a great job at the task that I am about to take on.
